The hiring outlook for 2018 is the best the U.S. has seen in over a decade. 44% of employers plan on hiring full-time employees according to a survey by Career Builder. 51% of employers are expecting to utilize temporary/contract workers. 40% of workers are planning to change jobs in 2018. If you are planning on making a change, how will you stand out among the heavy competition?
Welcome to 2018!
When you have your own business, sometimes you don’t know what you don’t know. For example, I started a blog but didn’t have a web site platform that had the capability of allowing comments and interaction. The comments I received were all through social media, which is awesome, but I desired to have a platform that allowed an on-going dialogue and place where you can reference back to. We have now moved our site to a new platform and are ready to have the dialogue. Thank you for your patience and support! We have a lot of topics selected to cover within the recruiting/talent management space and we’d like to hear from you too. Please send us your suggestions that you would like to see covered in this blog for 2018.
The start Fitzgerald Recruiting
My first blog post talked about how I took a leap of faith to move out of state and start a career in the recruiting industry. Next I want to share about how I took a huge leap of faith to start my own business, Fitzgerald Recruiting.
Since my very first Entrepreneurship class in college, I knew that someday I wanted to start my own business. I also knew that I had a lot to learn about business operations, sales, marketing, people management, and finance before I would be successful.
Welcome to my blog! My intention is create an online space where employment recruiters, hiring managers and candidates can share their stories, interviewing tips, and lessons learned. I will also share my perspective and the many things I have learned throughout my career in the recruiting and staffing industry. I welcome you join the conversation!
